I'm a British engineering student.
My main obsessions in life are Glee and guns, or at least were. I describe myself now as a recovering Glee-holic. I still adore the earlier episodes, but have almost entirely given up on the current series because it makes me yell things at the TV, which I feel is a bad thing.
I'm still a total gun-nut, though, competing regularly at national and international level, and usually doing pretty darn well into the bargain. I'm in the British ladies' team, and we're the current World Champions.
Anything I post about my life is tagged with, "things from my life" - I'm a highly inventive person when it comes to naming things.
My main fandoms are Glee, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, but I also frequently post bits of British comedy, both past and present.
I do my best to avoid spoilers in all fandoms, although I will post set pictures if I feel they aren't spoilery. And I tag anything that I feel might be.
This treads the fine line between the awesomest thing and being truly horrifying.

People being angry about ~dem gays~ on Target’s Facebook.
I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.
A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?
It is a big deal because i’m a transman.
It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.
Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.
At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.
At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.
TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.
More and more reasons to be so absolutely obsessed with Target.
I totally had to look up what a “Nativity Creches” was. And honestly, I don’t imagine those fly off the shelf. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen anyone display one of those. But I do live in North Hollywood Ca… 9_9;
Anyway, that’s pretty cool of Target. And anyone serious enough not to shop there over this is pretty ridiculous. I guess they still have Wal-Mart to shop at, right?
Well, I already shopped there for the clean store, good service and gorgeous graphic design displays. Let’s just toss this on the list of reasons to give this place more of my money.

I remember watching The Lion King when I was small, and the signal for battle being, “Assemble the lionesses.” It was a wonderful moment for me, realising that women can indeed be most badass.

I arrived back too late to see Dr who live (so watching it today will happen). Instead I chose drinking with lmc, slanderrat and the gingerghoul whilst judging Eurovision on categories such as “Legs”, “Batshit insane”, and “Actual talent” to name but a few.
I made the right choice. Now shower time and maybe Dr who before church so I can talk about it…
That was the first time I’d ever watched Eurovision. I now love it. And Graham Norton, was, on the whole, brilliant:
“This next number features two girls kissing. If that offends you, then you need to grow up.”
