LMC's Ramblings & Things

Quick request: if you are going to follow me, and you know me in real life, please let me know who you are!

I'm a British engineering student.

My main obsessions in life are Glee and guns, or at least were. I describe myself now as a recovering Glee-holic. I still adore the earlier episodes, but have almost entirely given up on the current series because it makes me yell things at the TV, which I feel is a bad thing.

I'm still a total gun-nut, though, competing regularly at national and international level, and usually doing pretty darn well into the bargain. I'm in the British ladies' team, and we will be going to the World Championships in Hungary this year.

Anything I post about my life is tagged with, "things from my life" - I'm a highly inventive person when it comes to naming things.

My main fandoms are Glee, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, but I also frequently post bits of British comedy, both past and present.

I do my best to avoid spoilers in all fandoms, although I will post set pictures if I feel they aren't spoilery. And I can't promise to avoid any SBL set pictures, even if they are spoilery.

WILL PEOPLE STOP GAY ‘SHIPPING HOLMES AND WATSON!!!! THEY’RE BOTH STRAIGHT, IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN, AND THAT YOU ARE OBSESSED WITH THE FACT THAT YOU BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE GAY IS OVERLY WORRYING!!!

JUST STOP.

Be fair, they could easily, either of them, be bisexual and just not be being open about it. I reckon it’s most likely that Sherlock is asexual as it is - he could be biromantic. You never know.

And John has, to my knowledge, only ever stated that he’s not gay, not that he is straight. There are far more than just the two options.

And however much you might not like it, people will continue to do it - there’s simply no point in telling them to stop. It’s far too widespread now.

I can already see the angry cries of homophobia heading in your direction from all the hardcore shippers (it is a well established fact in fandom that ‘believing two characters to be straight and being frustrated that others don’t agree with what is to you plainly obvious’ = homophobic).
